MEETING ROOMS OR LARGE EVENTS
On the ground floor, you’ll find the Gyldenløve, Moltke and Abildgaard Salons, all of which are suitable for small meetings, dinners or as additional facilities to the first floor for those large mingle events hosting up to 1000 guests.
GYLDENLØVE SALON
The Gyldenløve Salon features windows facing Bredgade in continuation of Moltkes Salon. The salon is furnished for each individual purpose and is particularly well-suited for small meetings and dinners. The Gyldenløve Salon is named for Count Ulrik Frederik Gyldenløve, who built the original mansion then known as ‘Gyldenløves Lille Palæ.’ The ‘large’ mansion is situated on the corner of Kongens Nytorv and Nyhavn and is today known as Charlottenborg Palace. In 1955, the original panels were rediscovered and the ancient artworks were restored by conservators of the National Museum of Denmark. The walls also feature old maps of Copenhagen of that era within the 17th-century fortifications.
MOLTKES SALON
Moltkes Salon features windows facing Bredgade in continuation of the Abildgaard Salon and the Gyldenløve Salon. The salon is furnished for each individual purpose and is particularly well-suited for small meetings and dinners. During Count A. W. Moltke’s residency, the salon served as the count’s offices. The space is adorned with classic overdoor panels created by master painter Nicolaj Abildgaard. With its clean, pure lines, the salon boasts a style that can be described as a traditional take on contemporary minimalism.
ABILDGAARD SALON
The Abildgaard Salon features windows facing Bredgade in continuation of the Steward’s Office and Moltkes Salon. The Salon has its own permanent furnishings and is particularly well-suited for small meetings and dinners. The Abildgaard Salon is named for painter Nicolaj Abildgaard, whose artworks adorn the room in the form of three overdoor panels, which portray the Jewish, Christian and Islamic faiths.
